A busy Saturday in Maple Creek came and went this past weekend.

The Taste of Maple Creek was the first event of the day.

Royce Pettyjohn, Manager of Community and Economic Development in Maple Creek, explains the day's events.

"There were 10 restaurants represented in 3 tents. In addition to the food festival, we also had art at the log museum, where local artists were doing workshops and showcasing their work," he said.

A car show and street dance were also going on, with League of Wolves performing to cap off the night.

Royce Pettyjohn, Manager of Community and Economic Development in Maple Creek, says the weather held up to help make the day a success.

"The weather was beautiful - we didn't have rain or wind. When you're dealing with tents, sometimes wind becomes a bit of a problem. The turnout was fantastic. We had people from all over who came to Maple Creek to enjoy the day," he said.

Pettyjohn says the 6th annual Taste of Maple Creek event was a huge success and thanks all that helped to make it happen.
