The Ted Knight Hockey Hall of Fame recently received a makeover as a number of the current exhibits were replaced.

Matthew Gourlie Communications Coordinator for the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame details why the replacement took place.

"Ted Knight Hockey Hall of Fame is one of our satellite halls so we have eleven throughout the province and as part of that partnership some of our artifacts make it out to Swift Current to be part of the displays and we try and change that up primarily the main displays every three years."

Gourlie says they are excited to be able to display a share outside of their main hall in Regina. In addition, Gourlie provides some insight into the new exhibits.

"There's a Sask hockey display that has hockey equipment and some old helmets and gloves from the 1920s and 1930s. There are also some sticks that were signed. There's a really nice Regina Ace's jersey that I really like and I'm happy it's back on display, the senior hockey team from the late 1930s."

Other items of display include jersey's from the Melville Millionaires and Saskatoon Quakers and a variety of sticks from the 1930s to the end of the century which Gourlie says provides a nice chance to see the different eras and changing of the equipment as well. There is a WHL display as well as an SJHL display which features Brian Propp's jacket when he played for the Melville Millionaires.

There are a wide variety of interesting items for people to see from various eras says Gourlie.

The Ted Knight Hockey Hall of Fame is open Tuesday through Saturday from 1:00-5:00 pm.
