The Cypress Hills Grasslands Destination Area has hired the services of a marketing consulting firm, and met with southwest residents last week to discuss the changes they are looking to make.

They met with interested individuals from Shaunavon, Frontier, and Gull Lake, as well as Economic Development Officers from Shaunavon, Frontier, and Hazlet to discuss membership opportunities and regional tourism, and to answer questions from those in attendance about how the organization is rebranding.

Tina Cresswell is the Acting Chair of the Cypress Hills Grasslands Destination Area. She said, "For the time being, what we're doing is we're trying to focus much more carefully on the members, and what the members needs are, and trying to involve the members much more significantly in conversations about how we proceed. We're also overhauling the fee structure."

Cresswell says the marketing consulting firm will present their findings to the board, and then that will be presented to the membership at the CGDA  AGM on April 15.
