In the February 25 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 211 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 211 new cases there are 24 in the Far North West zone, 6 in the Far North Central zone, 3 in the Far North East zone, 16 in the North West zone, 5 in the North Central zone, 3 in the North East zone, 37 in the Saskatoon zone, 5 in the Central West zone, 13 in the Central East zone, and 80 in the Regina zone.

There is currently 1 new case in the South West zone, 7 in the South Central zone, and 4 in the South East zone.

There are 7 cases with pending residence information.

Seven cases with pending residence information were assigned as follows - 2 to the Far North East zone, 3 to the North Central zone and 2 to the Regina zone.

That brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in the province to 28,191, of which 1,493 are considered active.

There are currently 5 active cases in the South West zone, 3 in the South West sub zone 1, and 2 in the South West sub zone 2.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 155 (12.7 new cases per 100,000 population).

There are 142 recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 26,318.

One Saskatchewan resident who tested positive for COVID-19 has died. The death was reported in the 80+ age group from the North West zone.

That brings the total number of deaths in the province related to COVID-19 to 380.

There are 156 people in hospital. One hundred and thirty-eight people are receiving inpatient care - 5 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the Far North Central zone, 2 in the Far North East zone, 11 in the North West zone, 13 in the North Central zone, 1 in the North East zone, 52 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central West zone, 7 in the Central East zone, 38 in the Regina zone, 3 in the South Central zone, and 4 in the South East zone.

There are 18 people in intensive care - 2 in the North West zone, 1 in the North Central zone, 9 in the Saskatoon zone, and 6 in the Regina zone.

To date,  568,314 COVID-19 tests have been processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there were 3,104 COVID-19 tests processed.

The trends of COVID-19 cases in school-aged children are being monitored. The Weekly Monitoring Report for children and youth 0-19 years for the week of February 15 to 21 has been released.

There are a total of 300 active cases in the province, 5 of which have location/residence information unknown.

There are  21 active cases in the Far North West zone, 8 in the Far North Central zone, 24 in the Far North East zone, 26 in the North West zone, 17 in the North Central zone, 16 in the North East zone, 4 in the Central West zone, 22 in the Central East zone, 62 in the Saskatoon zone, 88 in the Regina zone, 1 in the South West zone, 3 in the South Central zone, and 3 in the South East zone.

There were 2,057 COVID-19 vaccine doses administered yesterday in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 65,436.

As of yesterday, 85% of long-term care residents have received their first dose and 49% have received both their first and second doses and are now fully vaccinated.
