In the December 15 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 194 new cases of the virus in the province.

Seven residents who tested positive for COVID-19 have died. One new death in the age group of 20-29 years was reported in the North West zone,1 new death in the 50-59 age group was reported in the North West zone, And 5 new deaths in the 80+ age group, 4 in the Saskatoon zone and 1 in the Regina zone.

That brings the total number of deaths in the province related to COVIDE-19 to 98.

Of the 194 new cases today, there are 13 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the Far North Central zone, 11 in the Far North East zone, 28 in the North West zone, 21 in the North Central zone, 2 in the North East zone, 53 in the Saskatoon zone, 5 in the Central East zone, and 37 in the Regina zone.

There is currently 1 new case in the South West zone, 5 in the South Central zone, and 14 in the South East zone.

Three new cases have pending residence information.

Three previously reported cases with pending resident information were assigned to the Regina zone.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 263 (21.7 new cases per 100,000 population).

That brings the provincial total number of COVID-19 cases to 12,432, of which 4,204 are considered active.

There are currently 56 active cases in the South West zone.

There has been 363 recoveries reported today, bringing that provincial total to 8,130.

There are 124 people in hospital. Ninety-eight of those people are receiving inpatient care - 2 in the Far North West zone, 9 in the North West zone, 10 in the North Central zone, 45 in the Saskatoon zone,1 in the Central East zone, and 27 in the Regina zone.

There is 1 person receiving inpatient care in the South West zone and 3 in the South East zone.

There are 26 people in intensive care - 5 in the North Central zone, 9 in the Saskatoon zone, and 11 in the Regina zone.

There is currently 1 person in intensive care in the South West zone.

To date, 391,410 COVID-19 tests have been processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday there was 2,438 COVID-19 tests processed.
