In the December 11 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 246 new cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 246 new cases, there are 19 in the Far North West zone, 1 in the Far North Central zone, 13 in the Far North East zone, 24 in the North West zone, 34 in the North Central zone, 9 in the North East zone, 65 in the Saskatoon zone, 3 in the Central West zone, 6 in the Central East zone, and 50 in the Regina zone.

There is 1 new case in the South West zone, 7 in the South Central zone, and 14 in the South East zone.

Two cases with pending residence information were assigned to the Far North East and North Central zones.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 282 (23.2 new cases per 100,000 population).

That brings the provincial total number of COVID-19 cases to 11,475, of which 4,547 are considered active.

There are currently 97 active cases in t he South West zone.

There were 387 recoveries reported today, bringing that provincial total to 6,853.

It is anticipated that the number of cases designated as "active" will decline as older cases are reviewed and potentially shifted to recovered status. This work is ongoing.

There are 133 people in hospital. One hundred and six people are receiving inpatient care - 1 in the Far North West zone, 6 in the North West zone, 16 in the North Central zone, 2 in the North East zone, 45 in the Saskatoon zone, 2 in the Central East zone, and 26 in the Regina zone.

There is currently 1 person receiving inpatient care in the South West zone, 1 in the South Central zone, and 6 in the South East zone.

There are 27 people in intensive care - 6 in the North Central zone, 11 in the Saskatoon zone, and 8 in the Regina zone.

There is 1 person in intensive care in the South West zone, and 1 in the South Central zone.

No deaths were reported today, leaving the provincial total number of deaths related to COVID-19 at 75.

To date, there have been 379,378 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there were 3,497 COVID-19 tests processed.
