The Terry Fox Run was virtual this past Sunday due to restrictions from COVID-19, but that didn't stop people from taking part.

Colin Kuntz is the Provincial Director for Saskatchewan for The Terry Fox Foundation.

He said that in Shaunavon around $400 was raised during the virtual run, and in Swift Current around $2800 was raised.

Provincially, there has been about $73,000 raised so far, and Kuntz says that, personally, he would like to see the province at one million dollars by the end of the year.

He encourages people to continue donating throughout the year, and adds that without donations there is no research, and without research they can't find a cure for cancer.

You can go to the Terry Fox website to donate.
