The U15 AA Pure Chem Broncos worked hard, throwing 41 shots on the net, but couldn't pull away from the West Central Wheat Kings at Fairview West last night, eventually forced to settle for the 3-3 tie.

Currently leading the South Division after a pair of convincing wins against Moose Jaw and Saskatoon late in October, the Broncos were coming in with some confidence.

The 3-1-0-1 Wheat Kings meanwhile had managed to turn their season around, posting three wins and a tie in their last four games stretching all the way back to the beginning of October.

Jace Egland would put the Broncos on the board first late into the first frame, as he'd snipe an unassisted marker past Jaden Blanchette for his 6th of the season.

It would take until midway through the second, but the Wheat Kings would eventually pull even on a Cobe Perlinger marker 10 minutes into the period.

Egland would step up again a few minutes later, getting his second of the game and 7th of the season to regain the lead.

It would be Dejavu all over again as the Wheat Kings would tie it up midway through the third period, but this time, it would be Wesely Olson putting in his 4th of the season retaking the lead a few minutes later for the Broncos.

For a few minutes at least, that would seem to be it for the scoring, as both teams would pummel each other's nets in the final frame.  Swift Current would throw 16 shots at Blanchette in the final 20 while Broncos tender Conner Bender would see 11.  But a late roughing penalty to Swift Current Defenceman Kai Packet would give the Wheat Kings the opening they would need to score their third and send the game to an overtime period that would solve nothing.

Bender would face 32 shots in the tie, posting a .906 save percentage, while Jaden Blanchette would turn aside 38 of 41 for a .927.

The Broncos are next in action on Saturday as they host the Notre Dame Hounds.
