There's a third tournament being held at the Elmwood Golf Club this week.

Earlier today the 13 golfers competing for the Saskatchewan Amatuer Women's Championship kicked things off with two locals in field.

Regina's Alexandra Schmidt is the leader after shooting an opening round two-over 74.

That's good enough for a six stroke lead and the top local is Elmwood Golf Course's Kathy Hopfner who's ten shots back in a tie for ninth.

Chaplin's Holly Knudsen is the other local and sits 14-shots back of the lead.

The four groups of women won't tee off until after noon tomorrow in Swift Current.
