SWT has chosen 3 charities in Swift Current to shine a light on and with your votes, one of them will receive $5000 to go towards their organization.  You can VOTE for your favourite charity before end of December on SC Online link.

One of the Charities is SWYES Dorie's House located at corner of Herbet St E & 2nd Ave NE in Swift Current, SK. 

Dorie's House Southwest Youth Emergency Shelter Inc.is an emergency shelter to serve homeless youth in southwest Saskatchewan. Dorie's House has eight bedrooms and welcomes youth of all genders; ages 14 to 18.  It will officialy open and start receiving youth in January 2017 and the length of stay will be up to three months, with an option for extension under special circumstances. Dorie's House will be staffed by two Support Workers per shift, twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week.

The Vision:
SwYES provides a safe, supportive living environment for youth to build resiliency and strong foundations to adulthood and independence; through skill building, connectivity with family and community, as well as positive health and life choices.
