A banner year is continuing for Swift Current Broncos forward Lane Pederson.

After signing an NHL entry-level contract with the Arizona Coyotes and being named alternate captain of the Broncos, Pederson has now been added to Team WHL for two games of the CIBC Canada/Russia Series.

Both teams are made up of eligible U20 players in an effort to help scout for the World Junior Championship rosters.

He will be on the roster as Team WHL faces Broncos defenceman Artyom Minulin and Team Russia on Monday, November 7th in Prince George and Tuesday, November 8th in Edmonton.

The Saskatoon product has 5 goals and 11 assists in 15 games so far this season.

He has 50 points in 52 games since joining the Broncos from Red Deer in the Jake DeBrusk deal last season.

Pederson's previous internatinoal experience was as a member of Team Canada West for the 2014 World U17 Hockey Challenge.

The Broncos face Calgary in and home-and-home this weekend starting tonight at the Credit Union iPlex.
