RCMP have made arrests in connection with a rash of thefts and mischief to vehicles this week.

Mounties in Morse say they received numerous complaints on Wednesday, saying two vehicles were reported stolen from Chaplin, with one of them found stuck in a ditch, one van was reported stolen from Regina, a truck was stolen from Chaplin was recovered in Morse, and two more trucks were reported stolen in Morse and Herbert.

They add the Swift Current RCMP Roving Traffic Unit was conducting traffic patrols on Highway 1 Wednesday morning when they spotted one of the stolen trucks. The suspect turned onto a grid road and police followed it for 10 kilometres before it came to a stop.

Four male suspects from the White Bear First Nation; 18-year-old Joseph Little Crow, 19-year-old Tyler Nahbexie, and two 15- and 17-year-old youths; were arrested without incident and face charges that include theft of a motor vehicle, willful mischief, operating a vehicle while being pursued by a peace officer, and possession of stolen property over $5000. They made their first court appearances on Thursday and Friday in Swift Current Provincial Court.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are continuing to search for a white 1999 Dodge Dakota truck, with license plate number 211 HFY. Those with information are asked to call Morse RCMP at 306-629-4100, or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
