Last night was undoubtedly the biggest win of the Swift Current 57's season - at least so far.

Chasing the Regina Red Sox for top spot in the WCBL's Eastern Division ahead of playoffs, Swift Current erased a two-run deficit to earn a 4-3 come-from-behind victory over the Okotoks Dawgs.

On the road in front of nearly 4800 fans in Okotoks, the 57's posted a three-run top of the ninth inning to stun the home side.

With Swift Current down to their final out, some sloppy fielding allowed Tanner Holen, Luis Navarro, and Jared Binsfeld to all score.

Reliever Mitch Waletski picked up the win for the 57's, pitching the fifth through eighth innings, failing to surrender a run or even hit over that span.

Garrett Alexander came on for a no-hit ninth inning for the save.

The win is the seventh in a row for Swift Current, and is coming at the perfect time in the regular season.

They now sit 1.5 games back of the Regina Red Sox, after Regina split a double-header at home against the Moose Jaw Miller Express last night.

With four games remaining, the Red Sox host the Melville Millionaires tonight.

Meanwhile the 57's look for another win on the road in Okotoks. Game 2 of a three-game set is on the go at 7:05.
