Perch, Northern Pike, and Walleye are the three main types of fish in Saskatchewan waters.

Ice fishing season runs until March 31st.  Conservation Officer with Saskatchewan Environment, Darryl Stan, says only a few people are out at the Saskatchewan Landing this time of year.

A Saskatchewan Resident Angling license costs $30, the Seniors licenses are free, the Saskatchewan three-day Resident license is $15, and an annual Canadian Resident license is $60.

There is also a limit of how many fish someone can have. You can catch upto six Northern Pike, 25 Perch, except at the Duncairn Reservoir, and five Walleye.

Stan adds that the ice shacks have to be off of the ice by March 15th or a fine could be issued.
