The second Kid’s Harvest Festival was another success.

Nearly 500 people attended the Kid’s Harvest Festival on Tuesday night.

Held at the Alpine Church for the second year, the Festival is an indoor Halloween alternative for children between the ages of six and twelve years old.

Jack Peters says children collected toonies for the Swift Current Women’s Safe Shelter.  Each child brought a toonie donation and Peters says they raised between $700 and $800.

He adds that they would also like to thank their sponsors and volunteers who made this Festival a success.

A recognition ceremony for the Festival volunteers and donors will be held within the next couple of weeks.
