The Swift Current Comprehensive High School Music Department presents their annual "All That Jazz" showcase tonight, and it promises to be a great evening with big band and swing-era music.
"We'd like to have the community very involved with this," said Brianna Dennehy with the Comp High School Music Department. "There are over 30 students from the SCCHS Music Department performing at this event, and many others are involved with the decorating, serving and preparing the food. We'll have performances from 8 O'Clock Jazz, 9 O'Clock Jazz, Vocal Jazz and Vocal Combos, as well as a combination of soloists and the big band."
The event goes at the Comp High School Cafetorium with the doors opening at 6:30pm. There will be a free swing dance lesson at 6:45pm, and the performances will start at 7:30pm.
Tickets are available in advance at Creative Video in Swift Current for $15.00 each, and the proceeds will support the Comp High School Music Department for upcoming spring travel expenses.
