An Apparent Breakthrough for Workers at the Imperial 400

It looks like it’s back to work!

After 84 weeks of being locked out, Union Representative, Mike Nielson, is announcing a settlement.

Local workers of the Retail Wholesale Department Union ratified the back-to-work agreement yesterday.

One of the owners, Ikbal Nur Mohammed, says they’ve kept up with building maintenance, and should be ready for a summer opening.

Union Rep, Mike Nielson, says workers received a small wage increase, but says the issues of worker seniority is now based on departmental seniority, and not shop-wide seniority.
