The latest exhibit at the Art Gallery looks at our rich textile heritage in Saskatchewan.

100 Years of Common Thread, contains work from 23 artists, some historic, others are contemporary.

Kim Houghtaling is the curator at the Art Gallery of Swift Current. He says an artist with a local connection is featured in the exhibit, June Jacob who is originally from Swift Current.

The show is a series of photograph pieces, they date back from the 1800's. These heritage pieces, document the traditional firework by different ethnic groups of Saskatchewan.

Along with the historic display, a large variety of Weaver & Spinner work is produced by contemporary artists.

As always, admission is free to the Gallery. The show runs until February 18.
