Provincial badminton proved to be a successful tournament for the Fox Valley duo of Austin Dirk and Spenser Kosolofski. The boys defended their provincial title winning the gold medal in boys doubles. Despite Austin battling a sprained ankle, the duo placed first in their pool with a 3-0 record. They registered wins over Oxbow (21-17, 21-15), Carrot River (22-20, 21-16) and Saskatoon Hardy (21-13, 21-15). The semi final saw them beat Meadow Lake (21-12, 21-12). This set up a re-match of the earlier round robin when they ended playing Carrot River in the final. The match went to three but Fox Valley persevered by scores of 23-21, 17-21, 21-12. Congratulations to Austin and Spenser and their coach Dennis Franz!
