There has certainly been a lot of it and there's likely going to be more in the weeks and months ahead.

As winter has officially arrived, the Heart and Stroke Foundation is sending out a reminder about shovelling snow. They want to remind you to take your time and be mindful of your heart.

"If your out there shoveling and you get a little bit dizzy and feeling a little bit of nausea take a break," said Carl Yaworski. "And of course if you start to feel like there is some pain in your chest, stop right there and call 911."

Yaworkski says to make it easy on yourself by using a long handled shovel or try and find one of the ergonomic ones that make the job a lot smoother.
