The Swift Current Home Hardware U18 AAA Legionnaires playoff chances took a hit this past weekend.

Hosting the Estevan Bears on Saturday night, the Legionnaires fell behind early and were unable to regain their footing falling 4-2.

Swift Current forwards Carter Cormier and Matt Ripplinger both scored a goal and added assists in the loss.

While southwest Saskatchewan products Cutter Knight, Daniel Ganert, and Ayden Lamarre all registered a helper in the Bears win.

The pair of teams rematched Sunday afternoon at the iPlex with Gull Lake's Ayden Lamarre helping push the Bears to a 4-0 victory.

The 17-year-old defenceman scored twice and added an assist.

Fox Valley's Daniel Ganert scored once and had an assist for Estevan.

And Swift Current's Cutter Knight had an assist.

Bears goalie Jackson Miller stopped all 52 shots he faced for the shutout.

With the pair of losses, Swift Current is now 16-19-5 and are only one point up on the Battlefords Stars with three games remaining in the season.
