Shaunavon resident Rhonda Bellefeille is one of three people vying for the seat on Town Council left vacant with the departure of Mark Benesh.

Bellefeuille works for the Rm of Wise Creek and Grassy Creek and is hoping to retire soon which she feels will give her lots of time to dedicate to Town Council.

"I'm planning to retire soon and that's part of my decision to run for council. I know how much time a council seat can involve and I feel that it will allow me the time to do an adequate job," said Bellefeuille.

Bellefeuille has lived most of her life in Shaunavon and has raised her family here. She feels she brings knowledge and education to Town Council and wants to see the Town continue to grow and move forward.

"Moving forward that's probably the top priority for me, is to be positive and move forward with the town. We've seen some growth and I'd like to see that continue," said Bellefeuille.

The By Election will be held on March 5th.

Advance polls will happen on Wednesday February 26th.
