Water has been shut off for 23 homes in Swift Current's northwest corner after a watermain break, and the city is expecting it to stay off until late this afternoon.
The break occurred at the corner of Cypress Drive and Walsh Trail in the city's Trail subdivision. Parts of Walsh Trail and 11th Ave NW have been closed to traffic with only local traffic being allowed through on those streets.
The City has also issued a boil water advisory for homes north and west of Walsh Trail, which affects both the Trail and Highland neighbourhoods. The advisory will be in place until samples of the water can be tested at the Provincial lab in Regina.
