A man facing a slew of charges related to a police chase appeared by video in Swift Current Provincial Court yesterday, but had his case adjourned two weeks for him to find legal representation.

Selasie Onegus Turner - the man who allegedly ripped through the border into Canada and evaded police for 14 hours by driving at high speeds in his Infiniti sports coupe- appeared by video link from Calgary yesterday afternoon; the day after he appeared in Strathmore Provincial Court on Alberta charges stemming from the incident that happened three weeks ago.

The 34-year-old Florida man is facing five charges in Alberta and four in Saskatchewan. Two of those in Saskatchewan are from the illegal border crossing.

Turner is set to appear next in Swift Current Provincial Court on July 4 at 1:30 p.m. His next Alberta appearance is today in Siksika.
