Approximately 70 skaters will take to the ice this morning for Swift Current Broncos training camp.

The players have been divided into four teams and will practice throughout the day at the Credit Union iplex.  There are two scrimmages planned for later this afternoon and evening.

Broncos Head Coach and General Manager Dean Chynoweth says competition will be big at the Forward spot.  "Up front, there is potentially a lot of graduating players.  There's a group of 16-year-olds and a real group of 17s that are all competing for limited spots.  We like the progress of all of our guys and to get them back in this environment, the battle up front will be an exciting one to watch.  On the back-end, depending on who we return there, there's a couple 16s and a 17 (year-olds) that also will be competing for limited spots."

The Broncos will have nine players attend NHL training camps in the next two weeks.  For more information on this story, check out www.jonkeen.blogspot.com.
