If the Swift Current Broncos had their way, the every other year road trip through the U.S. Division probably wouldn't exist. Two years ago the club went 0 & 5 on their swing through the American Pacific Northwest and it was the same this year as the Broncos went winless south of the border.
The Broncos wrapped up their 6 game road trip with a 2-1 loss to the Kootenay Ice in Cranbrook on Saturday and now find themselves on a 6 game skid. They'll be hoping to turn the tide and get back in the win column when they return to the iplex for a pair of home games this weekend, their first in three weeks.
It's an exciting weekend as well as Innovation Credit Union presents the 30th season celebration; Friday night against Saskatoon will feature a Memory Lane Raffle and Saturday night's contest against Prince Albert will be the annual Teddy Bear Toss Night so be sure to bring a teddy bear, toque, or mittens to the rink with all proceeds going to the Salvation Army. The 50/50 will also start at $3000!!
