The Swift Current Broncos lost that comeback magic against the Lethbridge Hurricanes, as they lost 4-1 on the road.

The Broncos trailed 3-1 for the fourth consecutive game, they were able to erase those deficits in the three previous games, but couldn't last night.

Rookie Coda Gordon had the lone goal for the Broncos, his 15th of the season. He scored after Graham Hood and Cam Braes scored within the first 91 seconds of the second period, and Russell Maxwell added another later in the middle frame. Albin Blomqvist scored early in the third to add to the Hurricanes' lead.

Broncos' starter Jon Groenheyde was pulled in the third after allowing four goals on 19 shots. Austin Smith made six saves in relief. Damien Ketlo made 35 saves in the Hurricanes' net.

The Broncos head into the Christmas break with a 14-18-2-2 record and are 10th in the Eastern Conference, five points behind Calgary for the last playoff spot. They return to action December 27th when they host Prince Albert.
