The Swift Current Broncos were hoping that one goal would stand-up last night, and it almost did.

That was until the Saskatoon Blades tied the game with five minutes to play in the third period to send the game to overtime, and then eventually to a shootout.

The Blades scored in the first two rounds and took the shootout.  The Broncos picked up a key point on the road, albeit they were hoping for both points.

Assistant Coach Tim Kehler spoke post-game.  "It's a big point for us.  It feels good to come into a tough building, and again, play well and get the point that moves us into the final playoff spot as we sit today."

Matt Tassone scored the only Broncos goal.  It was a PP marker with 1:12 to play in the second period.  Morgan Clark was stellar in goal, making 33 saves through regulation and overtime.

The Broncos play in Brandon tomorrow night.
