Brendan Holterhus

The Swift Current Broncos have trimmed their roster.

They sent Brendan Holtehus back to the AJHL.

The 18-year-old forward will play for the Spruve Grove Saints. He had 12 points in 23 games for the Saints last season.

Swift Current acquired Holterhus from the Vancouver Giants for prospect defenceman Matthew Parsons.

Parsons also ended up in Junior A playing for the SJHL's Humbolt Broncos.

In 17 games with Swift Current Holterhus was hend pointless with 4 penalty minutes and a -3 rating.

The Broncos are now carrying 15 forwards on their roster.

They do still have some injuries as Cole Johnnson is out with an indefinite injury, Kaden Elder is out 1-2 weeks with an uppder body injury and Glenn Gawdin left Wednesday's win in Saskatoon with an apparent lower body injury.

Swift Current looks for three straight wins when they play their first game of 2016 in Regina tonight.

It's only the second meeting of the season between the two teams. Swift Current beat the Pats 3-1 in the only previous game.
