The Swift Current Broncos continued their impressive preseason and improved to 4-1-0-1 defeating the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-2 in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.

The Broncos top line of Aleksi Heponiemi, Tyler Steenbergen and Kaden Elder combine for 3 goals and 4 assists, with Heponiemi padding to his WHL league lead in points.

Broncos goaltender Taz Burman was solid in the win stopping 20 of the 22 shots he faced.

"I think he (Burman) was the best in white for sure, he was there in the first period when we let him down with odd man rushes," Swift Current Broncos associate coach Ryan Smith said post-game. "His rebound control was very good, he looked confident in there - we expect that. He's a 19 year-old and been in the league for three years, so we need to see that from him."

The Broncos have two preseason games remaining. They host Prince Albert on September 16th at the Credit Union iPlex, and play the following night in Moose Jaw.
