A pair of goals by Michael Farren and strong goaltending by Reid Dyck helped propel the Swift Current Broncos to a 4-2 win against the Regina Pats last night.

Forward Caleb Wyrostok had the game-winner for Swift Current, scoring just over eight minutes into the final frame and Aiden Bulych added an insurance marker for the Broncos with an empty netter with 34 seconds remaining in the game.

Broncos Assistant Coach Brandin Cote said he was pleased with his team's effort especially given it was their fifth game in seven nights.

"We were extended and guys were tired, and that's not an excuse but that is a factor," he said post game. "I think it was good to get ready to go and we got focused and we had some guys that were rested because we have extra guys and they were ready to play and they contributed as well."

Dyck picked up his third win of the season for Swift Current between the pipes stopping 31 of the 33 shots he faced.

With the win, the Broncos pushed their season record to 5-16-1 while the Pats fell to 8-10-3.

Swift Current is off until Sunday now when they face the Moose Jaw Warriors.
