A warning has been issued  to parents to check their kids' Easter baskets for some potentially dangerous candy.

     The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is informing consumers of an undeclared hazelnut ingredient in Cadbury Mini Eggs.  The product can cause serious or life-threatening reactions to those who are allergic to hazelnut protein.

     The eggs were sold in a 39 gram package with lot stamps of 02457T and 02357T.  They also carry the UPC code  0-61200-08021-6.

     The manufacturer, Cadbury Adams Canada of Toronto, has voluntarily recalled the product.  One illness directly related to the product has been reported to the CFIA.
