This year, Swift Current has sold 85 serviced residential lots; for 2008, they are preparing 37 additional lots.

The City has hired contractor KMS Energy Services Incorporated to install sewer, water, and storm water infrastructures at the new lots, located in the Highland Area.

Director of Engineering with the City, Mac Forster, says the lots are in high demand, and should be ready for the public by spring.

Forster adds that they hope to hire the same contractor to continue work in the Highland area.  That would provide the City with an additional 89 lots, and 2 larger, multi-family lots.
