A change of venue put a new spin on the 39th annual Eliminators Car Club Show N' Shine.

A collection of cars made their way into Elmwood Park on Saturday as proud owners lined up their vehicles for the public to take in.

Usually hosted in Riverside Park, the event was moved to Elmwood due to the Western Canada Summer Games inhabiting that space.

The Eliminator's Car Club President, Montie Williams, said that the new venue presented some positives.

"It seems like it's made it a little bit more cozy, it seems like there's a little more room here, we've got more foot traffic because it's on Chaplin [Street.] It just seems to be getting a little more people out to see us, so that's good."

With 140 cars at the event in total, crowds had many unique and classic cars to gaze at.

Funds and donations were also being taken at the event to benefit the Swift Current Salvation Army.

"It's great to see people actually come together," Williams said, "with a nice big event like this, you can help out some less fortunate."

He said that the club was looking forward to celebrating their 50th anniversary next year, paired with the 40th annual edition of the show.
