After a record-breaking start to autumn, it's now starting to feel like fall with wind, cool temperatures, and frost.

High winds and cool temperatures are expected in the southwest today, just days after the region soaked in sunshine and 30-degree warmth.

A wind warning was issued for much of the southwest Saturday evening, as wind gusts of up to 100 kilometres per hour were expected.  Maple Creek saw the 100km/h winds, while Swift Current had winds go up into the 80s that night.  Wind gusts into the 80km/h range continued through Sunday afternoon before tapering off by suppertime.

Frost was possible in some areas, with the mercury dipping below zero in many areas overnight.

The cool temperatures are expected to continue for the rest of the week, and there's also rain in the forecast.
