Police Describe Highway 1 as "Sheer Ice"

RCMP in Moose Jaw are reporting that Highway #1 near Mortlach, SK is now clear after an incident involving two semi-trailers earlier today.

There is no update on the condition of the drivers.

Police on the scene describe that section of the highway as "sheer ice" and suggest drivers at least slow down if they must drive it.

Travel is not recommended between Moose Jaw and Rush Lake due to ice covered, slush, loose snow, and snow packed conditions.

We also received a report of a collision on the highway near Gull Lake.

RCMP advise you check road conditions before travelling tonight.
