Innovation Credit Union members gathered at the Credit Union iplex Auditorium Monday night to hear about a proposed merger between Innovation, Conexus and Synergy Credit Unions.
The presentation focused on the positives a combined Credit Union would bring to its members, including increased capital and assets while maintaining regional representation.
Members also raised a few concerns. Clayton Wicks, the vice president of the Swift Current Curling Club, asked how the merger would affect the Credit Union's support of the club:
Innovation Board President Gord Lightfoot says they've always had a strong community mandate and would be surprised if the merger changed anything:
Two more information meetings are scheduled in Gravelbourg today(Tuesday) and Cabri tomorrow(Wednesday).
Credit Union members will vote on the proposal in January.
