It is a big, balanced budget for the Cypress Health Region.

The board approved a $107 million operating budget at this week's regular meeting, which is $9 million more than last year's budget.

The Health Region says the budget hopes to maintain services, despite the rising cost of health care.

Some of the initiatives set out in the budget are recruitment of a third Psychiatrist, and funding to deliver Autism services.  Funding will also be provided to recruit a second Radiologist, and start a midwifery program.
