The Cypress Health region will be hosting a series of public tour opportunities to learn more about the new 225-bed long term care facility, currently being built in Swift Current.

Starting on April 27, tours of two fully functional and completely finished mock-up rooms will begin.

One room showcases an exact replica of a standard resident room, while the other provides a spacious palliative care room.

Bryce Martin, VP, Communications and Stakeholder Relations with Cypress Health spoke to the importance of holding these tours:

"Having the ability to tour the mock up rooms, is going to a great one for the public and our staff. The tours will include all of the features that each of the rooms will have going forward, including: lighting, bathroom amenities, ceiling mounted lifting assists, windows, floor, painting. Everything is, as the new facility will host".

The new facility will be replacing the Swift Current Care Centre, Prairie Pioneers Lodge and the Palliser Regional Care Centre, and is expected to be completed by next April.

Anyone interested in taking a tour is asked to register with the Cypress Health Region by calling (306)-741-1885 or email sc-ltcpublictours@cypressrha.ca
