Controversy continues to swirl around convicted killer Terri-Lynne McClintic being transfered to a healing lodge in Maple Creek.

Benjamin Perrin was the in-house legal counsel for former Prime Minister Stephen Harper's office, and wrote a piece in The Globe and Mail criticizing the Conservative's current leader Andrew Sheer for trying to force a reversal on McClintick's transfer.

Perrin said it would go against the rule of law, as there needs to be independence between politicians who are after votes and how the criminal justice systems operates.

Former Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall chimed in on twitter, but was on the other side of things.

The Liberal government has ordered a review on the Correctional Service of Canada's decision to transfer McClintic.
