In today’s update from the Saskatchewan Health Authority, they are reporting a total of 48 new cases in the province. That brings the total to 81 510 reported cases. 

Of the 48 new cases reported, 1 was located in the Far North West Zone, 6 in the North West zone, 3 in the North Central zone, 12 in the Saskatoon zone, 8 in the Central East zone, 8 in the Regina zone, 2 in the South Central zone, and 2 in the South East zone. 

There were no new cases in the South West zone. 

There are 2 new cases with pending residence information. 

There was 1 case with pending residence information was assigned to the North West zone. 

Currently, 609 cases are considered active and 79,965 cases are considered recovered 

More than one-third (35.4%) of new cases are in the age category of 40 to 59. 

Almost one-half (45.5%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 5 years and older) were fully vaccinated. 

As of today, a total of 124 individuals are hospitalized, including 93 inpatient hospitalizations and 31 ICU hospitalizations.  

There is 1 resident in out of province ICU. 

There were 2 new deaths reported today. 936 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died, with a case fatality rate of 1.1%. 

To date, 1,292,026 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province.  

There were 2,260 COVID-19 vaccines administered, 34 of those in the South West zone. 

That brings the provincial total number of vaccinations given to 1 766 694. 

There are now 841,462 Saskatchewan residents who are fully vaccinated.
