Doug Steele has won a contested nomination to become the Saskatchewan Party candidate in the Cypress Hills Constituency for the next provincial election.

Steele and his wife Phyllis operated a fourth generation family farm north of Gull Lake. He is currently the Vice President of SARM and a Reeve for the RM of Gull Lake. He has been involved in the community and area as a past member on the local Credit Union and School Board and currently sits on several boards including the Southwest Transportation Committee, Gull Lake Ambulance Board and several others.

He says he believes in the leadership and direction of Premier Brad Wall and The Sask Party and would like to be a part of the team.

If elected in the next election Steele says, “Ya know, I'd like to see some repairs and possibly upgrades on infrastructure to help move our farmers commodities and the ranchers, and you know support the resource based industries that are working in our area.”

With Steele's nomination as the candidate for Cypress Hills, the Saskatchewan Party has nominated 58 candidates for the next provincial election.
