The Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation briefly shared an update yesterday on their review launched last year.
Former DNIF executive director Jim Dekowny stepped down from his position on March 29, 2023. This was shared during their annual general meeting on April 20, 2023.
The vacant role was filled officially in August of 2023 by executive director Chris Martens. He confirmed that the review is still ongoing.
"It has progressed to an investigation through the proper authorities," said Martens. "We cannot grant any further details and information on it."
Swift Current Online contacted the Swift Current City RCMP regarding Martens' comments.
"We are unable to provide any details at this time," said a City RCMP spokesperson. "However, if any such investigation results in charges we would release that information at the appropriate time."
