After half the region was cleared from a severe thunderstorm watch shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday evening, the remainder of the southwest saw its watch end at 9:30 p.m.

With high wind speeds quickly pushing storms through the region to end May, the same windy weather looks to be in store to start June as well.

Tomorrow's forecast calls for winds with gusts of approximately 50 kilometres per hour for the majority of the day.
