With Election Day quickly approaching, enumerators are making their final rounds to ensure local residents have their names on the list of eligible voters.

Beryl Robinson is the Returning Officer for the Swift Current Constituency.  She says with Saskatchewan having an increased population since the previous election in 2003, the process was a bit longer than in the past.  She also says there were some larger areas, so enumerators had a bigger job than in previous years.  The number of voters is up, and Robinson says they hope the majority of those registered will come out and vote.

She says that if any residents missed the visit from election officials, it is important to contact the Elections office by calling 778-8965.

Election day is November 7th, with advance polls set for November 1st to 5th.
