The Swift Current Female Midget AA Broncos dropped a Wednesday night contest with the visiting Notre Dame Hounds at Fairview West.

Swift Current lost 3-2 to the Hounds in a back-and-forth affair.

Jenna Olfert gave the Female Broncos a 1-0 lead through 20 minutes with a goal midway through the frame.

It was a mark that stood until five minutes into the second, when the Hounds scored short-handed to even things up.

Notre Dame jumped ahead two-and-a-half minutes later, though Swift Current responded not too long after.

The Female Midget Broncos tied the game up at 2-2 with 9:47 remaining in the second period, as Autumn Nimegeers buried a puck past the Hounds' netminder. Breanna Tourigny assisted on the goal for her second helper of the game.

The contest was all knotted up at two-apiece until two minutes into the third when the Hounds scored the eventual game-winner.

Swift was out-shot 36-14 in the battle of the bottom two teams in the South Division.

The 2-9-0 Female Midget AA Broncos will have to wait until December 4 to get back into league play, when they're on the road against the Regina Rebels (3-1-1).
