An emotional day at the Swift Current Courthouse yesterday.

A 29-year-old Swift Current woman who is being referred to as Lynn, at the request of her family, died when the vehicle she was a passenger in, was struck by a truck from behind at the intersection of Central Avenue and the North Service Road.

James Hansen of Calgary is the victim's fiancé. He made it out with several cuts and bruises.  He spoke outside the courthouse yesterday.

Hansen says that he feels fortunate for his children, but has not seen any good in the accident as of yet. He's hoping to see justice served in this case.

The accused is 24-year-old Rush Lake resident, Tyson Francis Hall.  He's facing seven charges including impaired and dangerous driving causing death, driving while disqualified, and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.

He made a brief court appearance yesterday, and will be appearing in court again next Monday for a bail hearing. Hall will be remanded in custody till that time.
