The Chinook Golf Course remains under flood watch with the rising levels in the Swift Current Creek.

Both the Elmwood and Chinook golf courses have about three creekside holes unplayable because of flooding.  Both courses are fully operational, and they are waiting for levels to subside so they can begin the clean-up process.

"I think, at least I hope, the worst is over.  We will just have to bear with it the next few days, that's all, " said Chinook General Manager John Gaudet.  "In '97 with the spring runoff and the ice jam, the water levels were comparable, but I've never seen it last this long," added Gaudet.

He expects the clean-up to last a week or two once the water levels subside enough to get at the affected areas.
