Former Home Hardware Midget AAA Legionnaires forward Jerzy Orchard had himself a special Sunday.

Orchard scored his first-career WHL goal as his Kamloops Blazers fell 5-4 in OT to the Vancouver Giants.

The Delisle-born WHL rookie has a goal and two assists in 35 games this season with Kamloops.

Orchard was the Blazers' fifth-round bantam draft pick in 2016 (110th overall).

He played the previous two seasons with the Legionnaires, foregoing his final SMAAAHL season for an early start to his WHL career.

Orchard posted 39 points in 63 regular season games with Swift Current. He showed flashes in the 2017-18 season, recording over a point-per-game (27 pts. in 25 contests), though injuries kept him out of a large chunk of the regular season.

Orchard and the Blazers sit seven points back of the Seattle Thunderbirds for the final Western Conference playoff spot.

Kamloops has seven games to go to make up ground, while the T-Birds have six games remaining.
