Kirwan, a defenceman for the Huskies women's hockey team, had a pair of clutch goals in a two-game weekend set against the University of Calgary Dinos.
On Friday the Gull Lake product scored the eventual game-winner with 4:35 remaining in the game, in a 2-1 victory.
The third-year blueliner scored another third-period goal on Saturday as well.
Kirwan tied the game up at 1-1 on a powerplay blast with just 1:56 remaining in regulation. The goal forced overtime, where the Huskies would eventually down the Dinos by that same 2-1 score once more.
Kirwan and the Huskies now sit at 2-1-1-0, and in a tie for third place in the CanadaWest Conference. They travel to southern Alberta to take on the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns October 19-20.
